Dinig: Sound Cue Relay

Dinig helps you notice the sounds you choose, even when the listening phone is in another room.

Teach Dinig a distinct sound by making it three times. The app creates a compact fingerprint on your device, then listens only when you turn listening on. If a trained pattern matches across several consecutive sound windows, Dinig adds a clear cue to your timeline.

Link a second Android phone with a temporary six-digit code. The listening phone can then relay an encrypted cue label, match confidence, and time to the receiving phone. The receiver can show a high-priority notification and vibration, while your room audio remains on the listening device.

Use Dinig for sounds such as:

- A personal door chime
- A kettle or pressure-cooker click
- A household timer
- A distinctive appliance beep
- Another repeatable sound that matters in your space

Personal cue lab

Record three examples of one sound. Dinig stores a small numeric fingerprint rather than the recordings. You can enable, pause, or delete each cue whenever you want.

Careful matching

An adaptive noise floor ignores quiet background windows. A match must pass three of four recent windows before Dinig creates a cue, reducing one-off false alerts.

Private paired-phone relay

Pairing codes expire after ten minutes. Cue event contents are encrypted before upload, and a link accepts no more than two anonymous device identities. No account profile, phone number, or contact list is required.

Clear receiver alerts

Turn on paired cues on the receiving phone to get a persistent readiness indicator, visual notifications, and a distinctive vibration when a new encrypted cue arrives.

Local review and control

Review recent matches, mark a cue as correct or false, clear local history, remove a paired link, or open Android permission settings directly from Dinig.
